Lent Blessings from

Feeding Hills Congregational Church!

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Spring…well almost! I pray that this Lenten season has been a time of reflection and drawing closer to God. We continue with our daily reading of the Psalms, and have learned so much about this scripture together. If you aren’t attending Practical Faith, I encourage you to visit http://bibleproject.com and look for the two videos about the Psalms. They provide a very helpful context for this reading project. We will be celebrating Holy Week and Easter in a variety of ways!

  • Sun March 24th - Palm Sunday Worship @ 10 AM & Church Without Walls @ 12 PM

  • Thurs March 28th – Joint Maundy Thursday Service @ West Springfield 1st Congregational Church - (Soup & Bread Dinner @ 6 PM, Service @ 6:30 PM) *ALL ARE WELCOME*

  • Fri March 29th – Good Friday Service @ 7 PM

  • Sun March 31 st – Easter Sunrise Service @ 6:30 AM followed by a potluck breakfast

  • Easter Worship Service @ 10 AM

You all are doing a tremendous job with our Lent Mission project, 40 cans/boxes in 40 days to benefit the West Springfield Parish Cupboard and we are excited to bless others with our donations. I’m only about halfway through my 40 items, so I need to get on it!

As we look ahead to the future both as a faith community and to the celebration of Easter, I want to thank you for sharing this season and your lives. As we look forward to celebrating the covenant of grace given by God, I pray that we will all take some time to reflect on our relationships, both inside and outside of the church family. If there are hurts or wounds that are lingering, I pray that you will reach out to me and/or the other individuals involved that we might truly have a season of healing and redemption. As I have been here for almost a year, I sense that this time of renewal and forgiveness may be needed by many in our community. Each of you matter deeply to me, to God and to each other, and this is essential for us to continue to grow!

This is a busy time of year, as we renew our hearts and faith during Lent and look ahead to the joys of Easter! There is much to look forward to as we continue to grow and serve! Blessings in this time of growing!

Blessings,

Pastor Janet
